Happy Friday!! About a month back, Kate came over and on a whim, we made a Honey Kumquat Old Fashioned and it was TO DIE FOR. I have made it several times since and it keeps getting better and better. I hope you enjoy!
Honey Kumquat Old Fashioned
Serves 1
[one_third]2oz Bourbon
1 tsp Honey
2 Kumquats, halved (extra for garnish)
Bitters
Large Ice cube[/one_third]
[two_third_last]Muddle the kumquats and honey in the bottom of your rocks glass.
Add the bourbon and bitters with a large ice cube.
Stir until the bourbon is chilled and slightly diluted. Garnish with slices of kumquat! Enjoy!
(You can also muddle the ingredients andstir in the bourbon and bitters in a separate glass and strain into a new rocks glass if you don’t want the kumquats in the actual drink – either way is delicious!)[/two_third_last]
