Light at the end of the tunnel

Location: Sonoma Square| Sonoma, CA

Hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel. This week was A LOT. And it’s going to continue being a lot. Anything you read, listen or watch seems to be some sort of article, meme, podcast, clip, etc about COVID-19. It is hard to decipher what is and is not logical but there have been several podcasts and articles I have listened to or read that have made me feel more grounded and informed. Mark Manson / Peter Attia / John Hopkins Map (not the most comforting but I find comfort in seeing numbers…)

The photo for this week’s Sunday Snapshot is my “hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel” moment. We went up to Sonoma yesterday to help shoot some photos for a small family winery, Adastra Wines, only to find out that all CA wineries have been temporarily shut down. While this is something that needs to be done, it breaks my heart for small shops and how they are going to fare for the next several weeks. In an attempt to keep this Sunday Snapshot short but also uplifting I am going to publish a follow-up post to this about some of my favorite ways you can help support local shops, restaurants, cafes, etc while physically staying away from storefronts.

Remember, if you have a neighbor that is older, ASK if they need anything. We left a note for our neighbor with both of our numbers for her to reach us if she needs anything at all. Kindness is going to go a long way in the next few weeks and it doesn’t cost anything to be kind.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and cheers to the week ahead!
